It's tough for Australia to set fresh records.

The highest peaks have been successfully scaled.

This is the squad that has secured seven Cricket World Cups, along with an additional six T20 titles, and once went 1,294 days unbeaten in 50-over cricket.

The secondary achievements, the ones sought by the achievement hunters, are what's still available for a squad that has achieved everything.

That it took as late as Sunday's victory by three wickets over India for them to achieve their initial ODI chase over 300, taking back their record for the largest in the women's 50-over format, is, in truth, a compliment to the bowlers that have worn canary yellow over the last half-century.

It's challenging for their batsmen to possess a record if not provided the chance.

Finally, the result of Australia allowing 330 runs was captain Alyssa Healy getting an opportunity to deliver her newest gem.

"The possibility to go out there and lock in a contest with her and simply enjoy myself in that regard, kind of motivated me," stated Healy.

She got to fifty in 35 balls - her swiftest at the global tournament - and her ton in 84 deliveries while she attacked short-pitched balls, hitting 21 fours and three big hits.

Once she was out Australia needed 66 more at a run-a-ball - a manageable total now needing a comfortable finish.

"Pursuing 330 is new territory so I am glad we have the confidence to achieve that now," continued Healy.

"Preferably we shouldn't have to do it another time but, if necessary, we are confident we can achieve it."

These statements will be the ultimate thing competing nations at this tournament need to hear.

Over the past five days a feeling they will triumph from any situation has only strengthened - this success succeeding win against Pakistan by 107 run margin despite sitting at 76-7 at one stage.

Subsequently Australia meet Bangladesh before a meeting with old rivals England in Indore in a week and a half, by which point a semi-final berth may well be secure.

It was at that stage they left the prior year's T20 World Cup in an unexpected loss by South Africa - a game Healy couldn't play because of ruptured tissue in her foot as she captained her nation for the inaugural occasion at a major tournament.

So great is her will, she subsequently stated she wished she had played with the discomfort.

But while she later admitted those physical issues have pushed back thoughts of retirement, this tournament is expected to be her final tournament as skipper in one-day cricket and she is still to achieve an international tournament as captain.

Triumph in India would bring her to the top of her ultimate challenge.
